Over the years she gained experience in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Character, Ballroom, Modern, Lyrical, National, Chinese traditional dance and European dance. She also has experience in Yoga and Pilates. She took her High School grade 11 and 12 dance credits through the Cambridge Theatre Dance School.
Miss Jamie was then accepted to York University where she was on their Dance Team as well as their Competitive Dance Team. While at York, Miss Jamie danced with the Perpetual Motion Youth Company in Cambridge and was accepted onto the York Dance Ensemble. Though honoured to make the ensemble, she had to decline as she was also accepted to Canada’s National Ballet School. While at NBS she received the ISTD National Associate, ISTD Cecchetti Associate, RAD RTS Teachers Qualifications and worked towards the ISTD Modern Theatre Associate which she is still working on. Miss Jamie has worked with both the Professional students and the Recreational students at NBS. She also took many dance exams at NBS: RAD Advanced 2 and received Distinction, National Advanced 2 and received Distinction, and Cecchetti Advanced 1. She has now completed all of the her RAD Exams (gr 1-gr 8 and Inter-Advanced 2).
