Specialty: Acrobatic Arts
She joined the C.O.R.E Competitive Team at age 6, and has since won numerous overall high score awards, scholarships, and special awards at various competitions across Ontario, including most potential dancer and highest acro mark of the competition for her acro solos three years in a row. She attended Shine Nationals in the summer of 2019 where she received 3rd place overall for her acro solo.
Miss Em has trained in acro, ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, and hip hop. She has completed her RAD ballet exams up to the Intermediate Foundation level. She has been a teacher’s assistant at CORE since the age of 8, and she was excited to transition to the role of teacher in 2021.
Miss Em has attended numerous classes and workshops, working with amazing dancers and choreographers including Rudy Abreu, Mia Michaels, Jordan Clark, Trevor Tordjman, Mark Meismer, and Molly Long. Miss Em has done in-person and online group training with Briar Nolet, and worked with her privately at Canadian Dance Company in Oakville. She has completed her Acrobatic Arts Module One and Two teacher certification, as well as the Aerial and Back handspring workshop.
Miss Em is a University of Waterloo student studying Kinesiology, learning the prevention and management of injuries, and how to improve lifestyle through exercise, which ties in perfectly with her passion for dance.
Miss Em is so excited to continue her journey as a teacher at C.O.R.E and absolutely loves sharing her love of dance with her students.
