Specialties: Gymnastics
I began gymnastics at the age of 3 in small-town Waterford. My love of gymnastics only grew and I competed at the highest provincial level from age 11-17 with the Woodstock Gym Club. There were many memorable competitions, but my favourite thing was always learning new tricks!
At 16 I started coaching and have coached both recreational and competitive gymnastics on and off since then. I have my NCCP Level 2 gymnastics and Level 1 trampoline coaching certifications.
When I was in high school I also started cheerleading and fell in love with stunting! I continued by coaching my high school team after I went to university. At that time I was so fortunate to be a part of the Western’s first all-girl cheer team. UWO’s cheer program and coaching staff are legendary and it was such an incredible experience to train there while I was in school.
These days I am an English teacher at North Park and enjoy living a country life with my husband – Shawn, daughters – Evyn and Reese, and labs – Henley and Lucy. I love being able to come into Core to meet so many of the amazing dancers and play around with the cheer and gym tricks of my past!
