At the age of 7, Miss Cam made the switch from gymnastics to dance and never looked back, as her love for all things dance took over. She joined the C.O.R.E. Competitive Team at the age of 8, and over the years has won various special awards, overall awards and scholarships for her dancing.
Miss Cam has trained and competed in acro, ballet, jazz, lyrical and even tried her ‘feet’ at tap. During her time as a dancer, she completed her RAD Ballet exams up to the Intermediate level. For many years, she was a teacher’s assistant at C.O.R.E. and last year took on teaching her own classes. Miss Cam even works our front desk where she gets the opportunity to get to know and help all of our families. Miss Cam looks forward to every class and making her students feel like they can do anything they set their minds to- celebrating each and every new learning or skill development.
Miss Cam attended numerous classes and workshops over the years, further enriching her dance knowledge and experiences. She has completed both her Acrobatic Arts Module One and Two Certifications as well as training through the Acrobatic Arts Ariel and Back Handspring workshop.
Miss Cam is in her second year at Wilfrid Laurier University in the Youth and Children Studies program, enriching her understanding of how children learn, grow and develop as she works towards her career goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. Combining her growing understanding in this area with her rich dance background, she looks forward to going on a journey of dance love and learning with all of her students.
